Welcome to Cambridge Flying Group

DH82a Tiger Moth
Cambridge Flying Group was founded by former members of Cambridge based RAF 22 Reserve Flying School in 1953. From it's beginnings the aim of the group has been to enjoy classic aircraft and fly them to the highest standards. Today the group operates two de Havilland DH82a Tiger Moth aircraft throughout the year at Marshall Airport, Cambridge.
How to Join
Membership is open to all whether a newcomer to flying or an established pilot looking to experience something new. Call in on one of our operating days, or contact us by phone or email to find out more. Book an "introductory lesson" to experience Tiger Moth flying and see what it is all about.
Learn to Fly a Tiger Moth
Cambridge Tiger Moths over The Needles, IOW
We are the only group to offer ab initio training on Tiger Moths. We offer conversion training from other aircraft types and also teach aerobatics and formation flying. Using a modern Fuji FA-200 we also offer night and instrument flight training.
The Tiger Moth is a perfect training aircraft: it is easy to fly and forgiving of pilot mistakes, yet at the same time to get the best from the aircraft you have to fly smoothly and accurately, which will help you fly other aircraft better too!
Alongside pilots (as "flying members") the group welcomes those who want to be involved as passengers, ground crew or just socially (as "associate members").
